Free Rides with CATA on Election Day

  • CATA will offer free rides to ensure that those who want to vote have transportation to the polls.

Lansing, Mich.—On Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, the Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer free rides to ensure that those who want to vote on city elections and school proposals have transportation to the polls.

Customers must present a valid voter registration card upon boarding their bus.

All CATA services will provide free transportation during regular hours of operation to passengers who present the appropriate card. Rides provided on Spec-Tran, Redi-Ride and Rural Service must be scheduled at least one day in advance of Election Day. Same-day rides will not be available.
