An Evening of Frosty Fun on Washington Square
LANSING, MI - Downtown Lansing Inc. (DLI) is putting on the ultimate event to beat the winter blues – Frost Fest13!
On Saturday, February 16 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., those 21 and older are invited to experience Frost Fest13, located on the 200 block of S. Washington Sq. in Downtown Lansing. The event will feature plenty of frosty fun including microbrews, the exclusive “Plaid Penguin” Brew, interactive ice games, a “Cold Butt” Euchre Tournament and live music by national headliner CIVIL TWILIGHT with local guests Flint Eastwood and Lights & Caves.
Tickets are on sale for $15 in advance online at www.frostfest.org, or they can be purchased at Midtown Beer Company, the Tin Can (Downtown), Music Manor, Flat Black & Circular, or the Downtown Lansing Inc. office. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20. Entry price includes a Frost Fest beer mug and one drink ticket while supplies last.
For teams looking to try their hand in the “Cold Butt” Euchre Tournament – where all players must sit on a block of ice while playing – there is a $60 registration fee of each team of two which includes entry into the festival, a beer mug and one drink ticket per team member ($30 value). Registration is open and limited to the first 16 teams that sign up. Register at www.frostfest.org.
New this year is the Frosty Feat Scavenger Hunt. This digital scavenger hunt will have racers using Pointillism to identify clues and spots around the Greater Lansing shirts, swags, and entry to Frost Fest13!
The fun doesn’t end at 11:00 p.m. Head to the Tin Can, 414 E. Michigan Ave., for the official Frost Fest After Party! They’ll have frozen pudding shots and $1.75 cans of beer.
