Song Pick: "Mermaid" by Train
While listening to Sirius/XM radio, I happened upon a station that had invited the band Train to play hosts/DJs and play their then-unreleased album "California 37".
The guys in the band spent time talking about each song on the album and the circumstances behind writing it. I knew from the first moments of "Mermaid" that it would be a summer jam for 2012.
It feels like a sort of Police-Jimmy Buffett hybrid in all of the right ways. Enjoy "Mermaid"!
