The Grand Traverse Pie Company team will celebrate ‘Pi 3.14 Day’ with state officials from both the Michigan Department of Education and Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development by serving up Free Michigan Fruit Pie on Wednesday, March 14th (3.14) at 3:14 p.m. for 30 minutes at several of its locations throughout the state.
Each year in Michigan March 14th is dedicated to both Michigan Education through the power of Mathematics and Michigan Agriculture by celebrating ‘Michigan Agriculture Day’.
“We at Grand Traverse Pie Company are honored to help shine a light on the quality of both the agricultural bounty of our state and the important role that education plays within our state on this Pi Day 3.14. Only through Michigan’s superior fruits and crops can we make our wonderful pies. Furthermore, Denise and I would not have been able to craft these pies into a growing business without the quality education which we received in Michigan; both in the public school system and at MSU,” stated Mike Busley, Co-Founder GT Pie Company.
