Impression 5's Two Year Anniversary of 'First Impression Room'
Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create and challenge their understanding of science. Established in 1972, this 25,000 square foot, hands-on learning environment has served over three million visitors in Downtown Lansing.
On Friday, May 24th, the Science Center held an Open House to celebrate the two-year anniversary of its 'First Impression Room.' The First Impression Room was donated by the Harley Beatty Foundation in 2011, in memory of Harley Katherine Beatty.
"When Harley passed away from leukemia, we wanted to do something to recognize her, and to help children that are four and under, which is the age she would have been," said Bob Harley, the father of Harley and President of the Harley Beatty Foundation.
For kids of all ages, the Science Center provides several activities, workshops, and will even host your child's next birthday party.
Impression 5 Science Center is located on Museum Drive in Downtown Lansing and they are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and children (1+).
