November is National Adoption Month, and all over the country communities are helping children find a new home.
Sunday at the Absolute Gallery in Old Town, Saint Vincent Catholic Charities hosted an adoption art show. Children who are available for adoption created works of art for the theme 'a closer look a me.'
The young artists hope their artwork will inspire any potential adoptive parents to give them a 'forever home.'
"They are all beautiful, they are all beautiful individuals. I pray for them every night that I will find them that home that they are looking for, that's going to be safe and secure," said Whitney Banks of St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
The children artists were there for the art exhibit. The event reminds the greater Lansing community of the growing need for adoptive families.
