Weekend Show Brings Pianists Back to Lansing Favorite Night Spot

Celebrating 17 years of favorite piano tunes, singing, dancing, Rum Runners has been entertaining crowds in their island-oasis-style building since 1996. Located directly across from Thomas M. Cooley Law School Stadium, this long-time Lansing favorite was situated in the perfect location to start a new concept. However, after more than a decade of memories it was time for a change.

Rum Runners recently began renovations to their two story building to update the look and concept of the space. While progress continues on the building, Rum Runners Lansing is proud to announce that they will host their first piano show in nearly 6 weeks! The dueling piano bar will host some of Greater Lansing’s favorite musicians for a special weekend of performances featuring Joel Randolph, Noel Leaman, and Dan Louisell.

“After 17 years in business, an ever-evolving client base, and lots of memories, it was time for some changes and improvements.,” The new concept will allow us a little more freedom in the events and themed parties that we can offer,” states manager Mike Walsh. We are excited to show our customers our new look, and celebrate with a weekend of great music.”

Friday night, the doors open at 8:00 p.m. and Joel Randolph returns with his Rock-n-Roll Piano Show at 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening, Rum Runners will host the second evening of their rockinPiano Show at 9:00 p.m. as well as the 3rd annual Tattoo Party. The Tattoo Party gives patrons a chance to show-off their ink to local tattoo artists for a chance to win prizes and gift certificates.

Rum Runners is accepting reservations now, as both nights during the weekend of piano revelry are starting to fill-up. Additional changes to Lansing’s only dueling piano bar can be expected in the coming year. Contact Rum Runners at 517-482-4949 or visit for more information.
