You might not want to wait too much longer if you plan on camping during the Fourth of July holiday.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says 90% of campsites at Michigan's 85 state parks and recreation areas are booked as of Monday morning.

Some of the most popular places, like Grand Haven State Park, Muskegon State Park and Ludington State Park have just one or two sites left. Places like Petosky State Park and Traverse City State Park are booked solid.

The DNR says the Fourth of July is one of its busiest times at Michigan's parks, so plan accordingly.

Reservations can be made online through the DNR's Camping Reservation System, which we've put a link to below.
