Williamston's Red Cedar Jubilee Is in Full Swing

The Red Cedar Jubilee festival in Williamston is in full swing in its 42nd year. Scores of local children and families showed up Tuesday evening for the Children's Parade.

Kids riding decorated bicycles, strollers, and floats made their way from McCormick Park through downtown with onlookers enjoying the sight.

The festival continues through Saturday, with highlights including lawnmower races on Thursday, the Enduro Derby on Friday night, and the Red Cedar Jubilee parade, Duck Drop, and Dedication of City Historical District on Saturday.

Other jubilee events include a 5K run, craft show, Taylor Smith Memorial Auto show, Tractor Asphalt Pull, and the United Methodist Church's Chicken BBQ.
