Miguel Cabrera Vying for Cover of 'MLB13: The Show'
Miguel Cabrera is hoping to follow in his teammate Justin Verlander's footsteps. The Triple Crown winner is among seven candidates looking to make the cover of Playstation 3's "MLB13: The Game."
Following the Cy Young and MVP winner's season in 2011, Verlander was featured on the cover of "MLB 2K12."
Below is the YouTube campaign for Cabrera, who speaks in Spanish and gives his best arguments for why he belongs on the 2013 cover.
""We made it to the World Series and I brought the MVP back to Detroit. I also won the Triple Crown. It's been 45 years since anyone did that. They didn't even have video games back then, but if they did, I bet they'd have given that guy the cover on MLB67. Just sayin.'"
Other candidates include L.A. Dodger Matt Kemp, Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun, Pittsburgh Pirate Andrew McCutchen, Washington National Bryce Harper, N.Y. Yankee C.C. Sabathia, and S.F. Giant Buster Posey.
