One of the perks of being governor is being able to sit on the sideline during a sporting event at your alma mater.

One of the downsides of sitting on the sidelines during a sporting event is the sport itself.

Governor Rick Snyder nearly took a foot to the face during Tuesday night's basketball game between Michigan and NC State.

Despite the look on his face, he says it was an exciting moment.

The picture was taken by a Detroit Free Press reporter. Michigan won the game, 79-to-72.
