Boys & Girls Club of Lansing groundbreaking

The Boys & Girls Club of Lansing will be announcing a significant financial gift from Jackson in support of teen programs and curriculum. The Boys and Girls Club of Lansing, Jackson National Life Insurance Company executives, state and local officials, and community leaders will be present. It will be taking place on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing (4315 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing MI 48910) The schedule below is how the morning will run:

  • 8:45 a.m. – Media Arrival
  • 9 a.m. – Remarks by Carmen Y. Turner, president of the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing, Robert Ray, MSU medical student and former youth member of the Boys & Girls Club, Lansing Mayor Virgil Bernero and Jackson President James Sopha
  • 9:20 a.m. – Groundbreaking

The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place for children to go after school and throughout the summer for only $10 per year. A staff of dedicated professionals and volunteers support young people with programs in five core areas: education and career development; character and leadership development; sports and recreation; health and fitness; and the arts.
