Okemos Teen Charged with Murder in MSU Student's Death

On Monday, Connor McCowan was charged with open murder for the death of Andrew Singler, who was found with multiple stab wounds early Saturday morning. McCowan was arraigned by video and didn't show any emotions. However, his family was in court and watched the proceeding in tears. McCowan is being held without bond at the Ingham County jail. His attorney didn't want to comment about details of the case.
"I'm not going to comment on the case right now. A bond can be addressed at any time and we just decided not to address it today," said Chris Bergstrom.
Meanwhile, the Singler family says they know the person accused of killing Andrew, but wouldn't say anything more about the relationship between the two. According to social media, Singler was dating McCowan's sister.
