Known as much for his unique persona as for his expansive body of work on television and film, William Shatner is an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist, philanthropist and horseman. In 1966, he originated the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the TV series Star Trek, which spawned a film franchise where he returned as Kirk in seven of the movies, one of which he directed. Shatner played the title role in the hit series T.J. Hooker before hosting TV’s first reality-based series, Rescue 911. He has won Emmys and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Denny Crane on The Practice and Boston Legal and received four more Emmy nominations as well as Golden Globe and SAG Award nods.
You may be wondering what William Shatner WILL be doing in this performance. It may be easier to explain by telling you what he will NOT be doing! It is not an all singing, all dancing revue (but the man can sing. Really.). It is not a stand-up routine (but it is funny). It is not a lecture (but he is very smart). It is not a re-do, reflection, retelling of Star Trek (but he talks about that, too).
Shatner’s World is truly a one man show, dramatically and humorously presenting an iconic life, with all its laughter, tears, mishaps, miracles, faibles and fantastic twist of fate.
