The Michigan State football team is headed for Tempe, Arizona to play in the Buffalo Wild Wings bowl on December 29th.
Their opponent comes from the Big 12 conference: the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University.
The announcement was made at the football team's annual banquet, where Le'Veon Bell was named team MVP.
This is the sixth straight bowl game for Michigan State - a school record. All six have come during head coach Mark Dantonio's tenure at MSU.
The coach says winning this game would be huge - not just for this season, but for the next as well.
"It sort of springboards you into the next season, much like we did last year after the Outback Bowl."
For senior linebacker Chris Norman, there won't be a next season in the green and white uniform. Still, he says there's always excitement when getting to play in the postseason.
It's no secret the Spartans had some lofty expectations before the season began, and finishing six- and-six is a bit of a disappointment. But junior quarterback Andrew Maxwell says the chance to play a big-time opponent like TCU is still a big opportunity for his team.
It was also announced Sunday that the Michigan Wolverines will take on South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.
The Gamecocks, who had a ten-and-two season this year, finished at number ten in the BCS. Michigan finished at 18.
That game will take place at 11AM on New Year's Day in Tampa, Florida.
