Be a Part of "The Gift" at Broad Art Museum

In the days leading up to the grand opening weekend of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, dozens of people sat for black and white portraits as a part of photographic artist Jochen Gerz's "The Gift: Lansing, Michigan."
Once the exhibition is completed in mid-December, those who sat for portraits will receive one on permanent loan from the Broad Art Museum - just not their own portrait. Eli Broad, MSU President Dr. Lou Anna K. Simon, and hundreds of others have sat for portraits since the beginning of the project.
Those who might be worried they missed their chance to have a portrait taken need not worry. According to the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum Facebook page, there are more opportunities:
Get your portrait taken and find your face on the wall. Come down to the Broad MSU's education wing every Friday between 5 and 9 pm now through December 14 (except for Thanksgiving weekend) and be a part of "The Gift: Lansing, Michigan." The wall will rotate photos every week.
Become a part of "The Gift" and the Broad Art Museum by sitting for a portrait.
