The MSU Board of Trustees is expected to vote to go ahead with the F-RIB project, though the funding for it still hasn't been determined.

The board is scheduled to meet Friday. They're expected to discuss the proposed construction of several exterior structures related to the multi-million dollar Facility for Rare Isotope Beams.

Pilings for the earth-retention system were put in place last week.

The board is also expected to consider approving a major renovation project at Butterfield Hall, and a number of renovations at Spartan Stadium, including locker room updates and new space for more bathrooms and concessions.
