Michigan is nowhere near the top five when it comes to the excessively rich. The state is however, home to 12 billionaires, according to Forbes magazine.
The richest man in Michigan is Amway co-founder Richard Devos the 87-year-old came in 239th on the list, with five-point-one-billion dollars. Rounding out the top five are Hank and Doug Meijer,Co--chairmen of the grocery store chain, Franklin businessman Dan Gilbert, real estate magnat Alfred Taubman, and Ronda Stryker, whose family make medical devices.
