Suspected Meth Lab Explodes in Charlotte
An explosion late Friday night left a gaping hole in a Charlotte apartment building. Police believe the apartment on the 100 block of East Lawrence in the city's downtown was being used as a meth lab.
The apartment sits above a tattoo parlor.
The blast happened around 10:30 p.m.
One person, a 31-year-old man was home during the explosion. He was taken to Sparrow hospital with severe cuts. No one else was hurt.
There is no word yet on the man's involvement with the lab.
Police say charges are likely in this case.
