Update: Eastbound I-69 Re-Opened

The eastbound lanes of I-69 in Shiawassee County near Bancroft have re-opened after a truck jackknifed Friday morning.

The accident happened around 10 o'clock by mile marker 115. No one was hurt. The trailer had been stuck in the median, with the trailer blocking the eastbound lanes for about 2 hours. Drivers were diverted at exit 113 onto Lansing Road.

The accident was cleared shortly before noon.


 

Shiawassee County - The eastbound lanes of I-69 are closed in Shiawassee County near the town of Bancroft, east of Perry.

A tractor trailer jackknifed on the slick roads and the truck stuck in the median. The trailer is blocking the eastbound lanes. No one was hurt.

Some of the truck's diesel fuel leaked, and clean-up could take a while.

As of 11AM, police are diverting the eastbound traffic off the highway at exit 113, south into Bancroft, then east along Lansing Road to exit 118. Drivers should expect delays.
