Dramatic Change in Former Judge's Trial
In a dramatic change in the trial for former Jackson judge James Justin, the four felony charges he was facing were reduced to misdemeanors. Justin pleaded guilty to bring the trial to an abrupt end.
After a day of testimony yesterday, today was to have been for closing arguments. The case then would have gone to a jury.
Justin was facing four felonies for the common law offense of misconduct in office for dismissing parking tickets for his wife and other court staff members.
