Flight From Lansing Turns Around for Mechanical Problem
A flight that took off from the Capital Regional International Airport had to turn around Monday morning.
The United Airlines flight was heading to Chicago with 19 passengers on board. Shortly into the flight, the crew indicated a mechanical problem and decided to turn around.
The plane landed safely shortly before 10 o'clock.
Airport spokesperson Nicolle Noll Williams says the plane had a "gear issue," but didn't know anything further at this time.
