Howell High School Interact Club Shaves Heads for Cancer
With a goal to raise $10,000, more than a dozen Howell volunteers will go bald.
Howell High School Interact Club in Howell, Mich., will host a St. Baldricks Foundation signature head-shaving event to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving childhood cancer research on Friday, Feb. 1.
With a goal of raising $10,000, more than a dozen participants have registered to shave their heads to support the Foundation's mission to Conquer Childhood Cancers! For more information, check out the Howell High School Interact Club St. Baldricks event page.
Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive. The St. Baldricks Foundation is a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research and funding the most promising research initiatives to find cures.
As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, the Foundation hosts signature head-shaving events where volunteers collect pledges and then shave their heads in solidarity with children fighting cancer.
