Suspect Arrested In Adrian Armed Robberies
Adrian police have arrested a suspect in a series of armed robberies in that Jackson County community.
The suspect hasn't been identified yet, but he was arrested Sunday and is being held on a parole detainer. He is expected to be formally charged with several counts of armed robbery and home invasion later this week.
The first robbery was on January 19. A victim was robbed at gunpoint while walking in the 400 block of State Street. The victim suffered minor injuries when he was struck with a pistol.
Another victim was robbed in the same area the next day. The victim was walking up his front steps when he was confronted by a gunman.
The latest robbery was on January 23. A gunman went into a house in the 200 block of George Street and stole the victim's wallet.
Adrian police expect other suspects will be charged in the robberies. Those suspects are also in custody on unrelated charges.
