Update: Detroit Man Charged for Stealing Father's Corpse
48-year-old Vincent Bright of Detroit will appear in court Friday afternoon, after being charged with stealing his 93-year-old father's body from a cemetery and storing the body in his basement freezer.
The crime, disinterment of a body, is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
His father Clarence Bright's body was stolen earlier this week from a Detroit cemetery, and Bright was arrested the following day, along with a 38-year-old man in the same vehicle.
Bright was hoping to ressurect his father's body, according to police.
