Local Mayors Come Together on One-Month Anniversary of Newtown Shootings
In the wake of the one month anniversary of the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, leaders from Lansing and Flint were coming together to call on the president and congress to put a stop to gun violence.
Monday morning, Mayor Virg Bernero, along with Flint's Mayor Dayne Walling, and community members gathered at the Lansing City Hall to express their opinions on gun violence.
The group, known as Mayors Against Illegal Guns, will be hosting similar events across the country.
