When it comes to making a change or coming up with new goals, the beginning of a new year is typically the time to commit.

It's no wonder that each year, the top New Year's resolutions revolve around eating better, getting more exercise, and losing weight.

Oftentimes, the new year inspires us to add some items to our Bucket List - and not only that, but check off those items as well.

For those in mid-Michigan looking for a challenge to face in 2013, the second annual Lansing Marathon is a great option. After a successful first year in April 2012, the Lansing Marathon is coming back April 21, 2013.

Running experts say that training for your first marathon can be accomplished in about four months, which is just about the amount of time until this year's Lansing Marathon.

Registration has already begun for the Lansing Marathon, and in addition to helpful tips and resources on their official website, such as running tips and volunteer information, there is also a schedule of training events for those interested in becoming better walkers and runners.

Does 26.2 miles seem like a difficult goal to reach? The Lansing Marathon also features a half marathon of 13.1 miles, as well as a 5K and kids run.

Now's the time to make a commitment to a health goal, so why not consider a marathon right here in mid-Michigan?
