Lansing Businessman Facing Felony Charges
A Lansing businessman is facing felony charges to start the new year.
Lansing police say Daniel Trevino rammed one of their patrol cars New Year's Day during a traffic stop. Trevino has since been arraigned on assault with a dangerous weapon, fleeing an officer, and operating while impaired charges.
The arresting officer says Trevino's vehicle had extensive damage, and when he tried to pull him over, he backed into the patrol car and took off.
Trevino owns Hydro World in Lansing, which sold medical marijuana. Police tell us alcohol was a factor in Tuesday's incident, and are waiting on blood test results because Trevino refused a Breathalyzer.
The officer was not hurt, and there was only minor damage to the patrol car.
