Ingham County Cracks Down on Tobacco Sales to Teens
Teens are having a harder time getting cigarettes at stores in Ingham County, according to the health department.
Fewer than 10-percent of stores tried to sell cigarettes and tobacco to underage customers during a recent sting. That's one of the best showings on record, and well below the statewide sales rate.
The county says it's been more strict on regulations, and sellers have been cooperating.
