Ingham County Judge Presides over Christmas Adoptions
There was no shortage of smiles in an Ingham County courtroom Wednesday.
Judge George Economy presided over several Christmas day adoptions in the morning. It's a tradition he's been part of for over 25 years, making new families official.
One new mother we spoke with says she's ready to give her newly-adopted son a stable home life.
"I think we are very excited, but nervous. We know Lamar is having a hard time. He's been through a lot of different families,"said Julie Parks, a foster mother who adopted her son Wednesday.
There are nearly 3,000 foster kids in Michigan waiting to be adopted.
