EMU Student's Funeral Today, Investigation Continues
As family and friends gather today for Julia Niswender's funeral, investigators are still looking to find out who is responsible for the Eastern Michigan student's death.
Niswender was found dead in her locked apartment bedroom in Ypsilanti last week, and investigators believe her death was a homicide.
Eastern Michigan University has offered counseling and other services to students in the wake of Niswender's death.
Donations to Julia Niswender's memorial fund, with money going to her family and funeral expenses, can be made at Monroe Bank and Trust.
