Eaton Rapids Students Help Spread Holiday Cheer
A group of students from Eaton Rapids were busy spreading holiday cheer, Thursday.
About 20 students from Greyhound Central High School packed Christmas boxes for more than 150 local families at Wesleyan Church.
The boxes included food and gifts donated by area businesses and members of the community who have fallen on hard time themselves.
"I think it's nice that people who are in need themselves are still giving. I mean, that's what the holidays are all about. And a lot of the kids don't come from affluent families and they are willing participants, and it's a feel-good thing all around," said Tim Mansfield, organizer.
The event is now in its 15th year, and was organized by the Eaton Rapids Community Christian Action group.
The boxes will be distributed this weekend.
