A Jackson father is going to prison for the next 7 to 15 years for abusing his 4-month-old son.
That sentence was handed down to Thomas Carter Thursday morning.
The 25-year-old was found guilty on child abuse and assault charges last month.
The boy, whose injuries included skull fractures and brain bleeding, is now in the care of his mother.
