With Video: Lansing Shooter Sentenced to Life in Prison

The man who murdered Ignacio Bermudez will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Ricky Strong shot Bermudez several times outside The Loft nightclub on Michigan Avenue on November 10th of last year. Strong still claims his innocence.
He faced the judge and the victim's family in court.
"Why Richard? Why did you do that? Why did you kill my son? Why? Why did you kill my son?" asked Bermudez's mother.
"I hope the youth can learn that living that type of life a drug dealer or gang banger or extortioner can lead to only two things: life in prison or the grave," said Strong in the courtroom.
The judge used Strong's record -- 11 felonies in 36 years -- to make the judgment.
Strong was also convicted of felony firearm, and ordered to pay thousands of dollars in fines and restitution.
