Studio C! Movie Theatre in Okemos Opens to Public
Okemos, Michigan - Celebration! Cinema (Loeks Theatres, Inc.) announced today the opening of Studio C! in Okemos. The media is invited to visit the new Studio C! theatre featuring Oscar’s Bistro beginning at 2:30 p.m. today.
“Our first public show time is 3:00 p.m.,” said Chad Wozniak, General Manager for Studio C!. “We’ve been rehearsing for a few weeks now. We can’t wait to hear the oohs and aahs from our guests when the doors open.”
Loeks Theatres, Inc. has been a movie theatre innovator for 68 years. The new entertainment complex offers state-of-the-art movie and content presentation infused with freshly-prepared foods, a fully stocked bar, reserved seating and several reclining “premier” seats.
“We’ve been listening to our guests for a long time about the things they’d like in a theatre,” said JD Loeks, President/COO for Celebration! Cinema. “We’ve created a very special atmosphere for dining and movie-watching that comes with accessible prices. The food is so savory, we believe people will come for dinner, and maybe stay for a movie.”
Loeks hopes that the community will continue to help guide the project with their input and ideas. The Studio C! Facebook page will also ask for the public to comment and give their thoughts about what they would like to see in the theatre of the future.
“They even asked if we could make revisions to our age policy,” Loeks continued. “Many of our guests want to avoid children in R-Rated movies. So at Studio C!, guests must be 18-years or older for all R-Rated movies. And they have said they didn’t want to wait in line to get their favorite seat, so all our seats are reserved.”
Studio C! has 900 seats, six screens and employs 45 people. Movie goers should arrive 15-30 minutes early if they want to dine while their movie begins. The theatre is located on the north end of the Meridian Mall, in the building formerly occupied by the AMC Meridian 6 and opens to the public today with the first show time at 3pm.
