Two people killed in a crash in Jackson County's Henrietta Township this past weekend have been identified.

The Sheriff's office says 16-year-old Jacob T. Schambers of Munith and his passenger, 21-year-old Adam M. Robinson of Jackson's Leoni Township, died when their vehicle crashed on Coonhill Road, just before 10:30pm Saturday night.

Investigators believe the 2003 Ford pickup was eastbound on Coonhill Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and flipped over. The truck also hit a utility pole, knocking power out to the area.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor and say it appears neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
