Meet the Missouri Winners of Powerball Jackpot
Cindy and Mark Hill of Dearborn, Missouri have stepped forward to claim half of the record Powerball jackpot prize of $587.5 million.
Cindy Hill purchased the winning ticket on Wednesday afternoon, but left it in her car overnight and didn't check the numbers until the following morning.
The Hill family has three grown sons and a 6-year-old adopted daughter.
"I think we're going to have a pretty good Christmas," Hill said during a press conference Friday.
The other winning ticket, bought in Arizona, and its owner have not come forward yet, according to lottery officials.
