7-11 Robbed Twice in One Week
LANSING - A Lansing 7-11 convenience store is the target of a potentially armed robber twice in the same week, and police suspect it may be the same man committing the robberies. Wednesday night at about 7:45PM the 7-11 in the 1900 block of Jolly Road was robbed by a man wearing a wig and covering his face with a scarf. He entered the store, indicated to the clerk he had a weapon, and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the man left.
Police tracked the man with a dog, but the trail ended at a nearby parking lot. Police presume he got into a car.
The thief is described as a black male, of medium build, wearing a long, black, leather coat. Police think this may be the same man that held up the same 7-11 last Thursday night, and possibly the man who robbed a Quality Dairy on West Willow Street Sunday evening. In those two robberies the man was wearing a bright, yellow, Michigan University sweatshirt.
