The Oldham Project Chosen as NACW Charity Drive Recipient
The Oldham Project “Be Bold. Be Beautiful.” was launched in 2010 and offers portraits of hope and inspiration to women who are suffering from cancer, undergoing chemotherapy and have lost their hair. This program is designed to raise awareness about the disease as well as empower and embolden the women who battle it.
National Association of Career Women (NACW), a nonprofit organization devoted to the enhancement of women’s personal and professional development,today announced The Oldham Project “Be Bold. Feel Beautiful” as its 2012 Holiday Charity Drive recipient.
Each year the charity drive helps a nonprofit gather items they need to provide their service. This year, the Oldham Project “Be Bold. Feel Beautiful” is in need of: scented body and hand lotions, note and thank-you cards, blank journals, nail polish, lip balm, cozy socks, inspirational books, exotic teas, hot chocolate or various gift cards for manicures, pedicures, massages, retail stores, bookstores, sweet shops, bakeries and restaurants.
Proudly sponsored by NACW, McLaren Orthopedic Hospital, Celebration! Cinema and Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop, the 2012 Charity Drive ends Tuesday, December 11. Donations to the Oldham Project may be received at McLaren Orthopedic Hospital outpatient pharmacy (through the patient entrance) between 9 am – 7 pm, Monday through Friday. McLaren Orthopedic Hospital is located at 2727 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing.
