The volunteers of America continued their winter coat drive at Eastwood Town Center in Lansing. All Sunday long people came by to donate new coats for both children and adults in need. The VOA plans to distribute the coats starting on Tuesday. They tell us more than three hundred coats have been donated.
"It's really awesome, people are really in need and some might not even realize the need that's out there but people's hearts are so big and they really come out and help those that are most in need and that's what the VOA is really about, helping those most in need."
The coat drive at Eastwood Town Center ended Sunday. But if you still want to donate, the VOA will continue to accept winter coats at their office on Larch Street, Friday during regular business hours.
