Suspected I-96 shooter Raulie Casteel appeared briefly in person in a Novi courtroom shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The judge ordered a review for competency and criminal responsibility.

Casteel has been charged with 60 counts in connection with shootings in Oakland County. The most serious charge is assault with intent to murder, which carries a potential life sentence.

After his arraignment in Ingham County was pushed from Tuesday to later this week, Raulie Casteel - the I-96 shooting suspect - faces two pre-examination conferences today in Novi and Howell.

Reports say it isn't certain whether Casteel will appear in person or through a video feed.

He's charged with 60 counts in Oakland county, and eight counts in Livingston county. At least 24 shooting incidents occurred last month spanning several counties. Out of those shootings, one man was injured after a shooting in Fowlerville.

We'll have more details about the hearings as they become available.
