Indianapolis Community Mourns Loss of Teacher in Home Explosion

Teachers, students, and staff in Indianapolis are mourning the loss of the teacher killed in a weekend house explosion.

Southwest Elementary School teacher Jennifer Longworth and her husband were killed, and eight others injured when the house exploded. School staff members remember Longworth as a dedicated educator.

"She understood that her mission was to help kids grow, and improve with their achievement. And she was what we wanted to see in all of our teachers, just wonderful love and caring attitude," said Dr. David Edds, Greenwood Schools superintendent.

The cause of the explosion i still being investigated the homeowner says a fault Furnace may be to blame.
