CMU Suspends Professor Facing Child Pornography Charges
Central Michigan University has suspended a professor facing child pornography charges.
William Lord Merrill was charged with four counts of pornography possession. Merrill is a tenured faculty member in CMU's College of Education and Human Services.
CMU suspended Merrill shortly after he was charged and banned him from campus.
A university spokesperson says the inappropriate material was discovered Monday by CMU information technology employees.
