Richard Strong Found Guilty of Murder
LANSING - Richard Strong will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering a man outside a downtown Lansing nightclub.
On Tuesday a jury convicted Richard Strong of the murder of Ygnacio "Notch" Bermudez on November 10, 2011, outside The Loft.
Strong was also convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm and another firearm charge. Strong shot the 35-year-old Bermudez several times outside the club. Strong then fled to North Carolina and eluded police until February, when he was captured by U.S. Marshals in Raleigh, NC.
Strong will be sentenced to a mandatory life term in prison without the possibility of parole on December 12th.
