Lansing Mayor to Announce a 'Step Forward' in Casino Plans
LANSING - Mayor Virg Bernero, real estate developers, and members of the Sault Tribe will hold a press conference in Lansing Thursday concerning plans for building a casino in downtown Lansing.
The press release does not specify what development will be announced, but they are calling it a "step forward."
The mayor's office had said earlier this year they have a self-imposed deadline of November 1 for the purchase of the land for the proposed casino by the tribe.
