BLACKMAN TOWNSHIP - Police say an investigation into a violent crime was the reason they blocked off part of Francis and Prospect streets on Monday evening.

They were conducting a high-risk search warrant at a house as part of an ongoing investigation into a violent crime.

No one was at the house at the time.

Police are meeting with the Jackson County Prosecutor to determine what, if any, other details will be
released today.

We will share those when they are given.

Michigan State Police blocked off Francis street between Prospect and High streets on the city's south side late Monday afternoon.  We have a photographer on scene, who tells us the SWAT team just threw some devices through the windows of a home.
Police aren't telling us what's going on.  Stay tuned to Fox47news.com and Fox 47 News at Ten for an update on the latest.
