Updated, with Video: Fatal Accident Closes U.S. 127
U.S. 127 North in Mason is back open for your morning commute.
Nick Hirsch,37, of St. Johns, was the lead rider in a pack of five people on motorcycles. Police say he lost control just North of the Cedar Street exit in Mason on U.S. 127 North and crashed. He was killed instantly.
Deputies say he was wearing a helmet but it is undetermined if alcohol was a factor.
Northbound U.S. 127 has closed, after a fatal motorcycle accident Tuesday night. Police think it will re-open some time early Wednesday morning.
