Investigators Bust Massive Marijuana Operation
A Jackson man is facing charges after investigators say he was selling pot to marines at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina.
Investigators tell us they got a tip from the Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS) that a marine was making three trips a month to Michigan to buy marijuana during the last year and a half.
The Jackson Narcotics Enforcement Team (J-NET) did its own investigation and were able to arrest a suspect. They found a total of 311 marijuana plants, being grown in several homes around Jackson and Kalamazoo.
The suspect is due in court this afternoon. JNET tells us he has a history of drug charges and has been making a living off selling marijuana for some time now.
