LANSING - A father is convicted of murder and child abuse in the death of his 6 month-old-son.
Yumar Burks, 28, will spend the rest of his life in prison for the death of his child, Antonio.
The verdict was reached Tuesday, after just a few hours of deliberations. Antonio Burks died while in the care of his father in at their home in East Lansing in March of 2011.
The child was taken to the hospital with multiple internal injuries, and pronounced dead. Burks will be sentenced October 24th.
