Smart Pens Add More Technology to Classroom
Teachers are using more and more technology in the classroom. And Smart Pens are quickly taking the place of chalkboards, notebooks and textbooks in some schools.
Whether it's math, science or any subject at all, this little pen is making a big difference in your child's classroom.
"A lot of times students have trouble taking notes, writing things down and listening, doing two things at once," says Tom Keer, math specialist.
The Livescribe Pen can do everything at once so the students don't have to stress.
"Sometimes she would talk a little too fast and I would be still writing something while she would be explaining something else," says Janine Cortesi, student.
The pen remembers everything a teacher says and writes, so if you write down one plus one equals two - everything gets recorded and kids can access it from any computer in the world.
"It gives students a personal tutor at home. They can re-watch lessons, relearn things," says Keer.
The technology is giving more individualized instruction based on each student's needs, and grabbing students' attention by using technology to teach.
